Welcome to Kinnick High School
Nile C. Kinnick High School (also, called Yo-Hi) is a school filled with tradition, pride, and a true sense of history.
Yo-Hi was founded approximately 60 years ago and the name, Yo-Hi, describes the areas from which most family members come - Yokosuka/Yokohama.
Yo-Hi has many things going for it. It is small enough that all students know each other, and there is a keen sense of community, fellowship, and belonging.
There are, also, ample opportunities to be participants in all areas of school life such as athletics, student government, and the wide variety of activities and clubs.
Students are encouraged to participate in these activities and always experience a sense of contributing to the school when involved.
Sponsors love you, and your fellow students and teammates need you!
The Kinnick High (or Yo-Hi) experience will grow on you. It is different than stateside schools and will provide an inter-cultural understanding that
you will find no where else. We hope you enjoy Japan, our excellent school, and all of the many wonderful traditions that make Nile C. Kinnick High School
what it is today.
