Attention all Baseball players. Tryouts will be taking place soon. An information meeting will take place on November 1st (Tuesday). This meeting will occur immediately after school. Food will be provided and you will have an opportunity to meet other prospective players. If you want to be put on an early bird specific baseball training module, see me RIGHT away. I will get you started on a program immediately. It’s never too early.

It will be an exciting year, as many have already mentioned their interest in baseball this year. This interest will be translated into a hugely successful year. Be a part of the winning team. A dynasty is in the making.

Every spring Kinnick High School produces a stage production for the community. Auditions are open to all Kinnick High School students. The spring production focuses on musical theatre. In addition to acting skills and experience, student learn music, voice, and dance. Rehearsals are held from 3 to 5 times a week in the Little Theatre. The rehearsal process is filled with energy, enthusiasm, and excitement. Come and join us as we create entertainment for friends, family, and community.

Do you enjoy math? Do you enjoy competition? Then, Math Field Day is for you. Compete in math competitions against International schools in the Kanto Plain.

This all day event is divided into two segments: the morning is a written test in a specific math course, the afternoon is a team problem solving competition. The problem solving teams consist of students from different schools so you get to meet new people and solve some interesting problems. The competition will be held on Wednesday, April 19, here at Kinnick.

The Junior/Senior Prom happens every Spring at the New Sanno. The event is first class and takes months of planning and preparation. The junior class is responsible for putting together Prom

Kinnick soccer has had a tradition of closeness among the players. This has contributed to the success of our team as Japan League Champions for the last two years. The players work hard and carry a "Winners First" attitude which is quickly becoming a tradition for this high powered team. Each player is asked to "Act like winners and play like winners" on and off the field.

Soccer is played in the Spring beginning in March and ending in early May. We play ten to twelve games per season and have a Far East contest each year.

The team travels to both Misawa and Iwakuni and, for the first time, could possibly go to Osaka to play in a small 4 team tournament featuring Osaka International and Canadian Academy. The squad will also travel to Okinawa for the Far East tournament

First day of tryouts is February 20th. See you on the Pitch!

Come join the Kinnick Girls Soccer Team. Tryouts will be Feb. 20th (time TBA)

Before you try out:

1. Your completed Sports Physical will need to be turned into the school nurse and school AD before you can tryout!!
2. If you don't have a current Sports Physical, you will need to have your parent call the hospital to schedule it for you.
3. No Excuses for not having your physical the first day of tryouts!! Not having a physical the first day will count against you. So get it NOW!!
4. The girls who are out for a winter sport will be given a chance to tryout for three days after they finish their winter season. These girls need to make sure that they inform Coach when their fall sport will be finish
5. You are expected to be in good physical condition the first day of tryouts. So if you have not started conditioning yet now is the time to get started. You should be doing two types of conditioning: 1) lifting weights and 2) playing soccer. Find a soccer player and work on your passing and 1v1 skills.

Tentatively our first game will be at home against St. Maur's on March 10th.

At Kinnick High School we have the fortunate luxury of saying the we have produced a top quality track team on the boy's and girl's sides of competition for the past few years. The current coach has four years experience at head coach and looks forward to building on the previous successes the coach has had in the realm of track and field.

The boy's team is always high in numbers and the girl's team is coming along nicely and our number of athletes is growing every year. This year, the program will service about 40 students total in the program. This is one of the largest teams on the entire campus. The coach and assistance coach look forward to working with the students at Kinnick to teach them how to be better people and athletes.
