Learning Community: Kinnick Cafe

Purpose:
CSI report		 1. Plans and administers reading cafés throughout the school year
2. Coordinates with community “readers”


Kinnick Cafe is a group of teachers, students, and community members who enjoy reading and discussing literature. Some months we have selected pieces of literature that we read aloud, and other months we have a book-of-the-month. The students buy the book, read it, then come to the discussion at the end of the month.

Kinnick Cafe will read stories from celebrated writers. Members of the the Cafe will read some fun history about the Philipeans, Saipan, Guam, Japan. Should be lot's of fun!

Kinnick Cafe is always on the lookout for potential readers and contributors to our discussions. We would love to have you attend. If you'd like to bring some healthy snacks, that would be great as well!
