Foreign Language Department


ˇBienvenidos! Bienvenue! Yokoso! Welcome to Kinnick High School's Foreign Language Department, where we invite students to expand their worlds by learning more languages. As technological advances continue to make our world a smaller global village, foreign language study will become more and more important. Being able to communicate in more than one language is a highly sought-after skill by employers. Speaking more than one language, also, greatly enhances your personal life by permitting you to make friends with people from other cultures and making travel fun and easy.

Per DoDEA, all students are required to complete two years of the same language to fulfill graduation requirements, but we offer many courses beyond the first two levels. We offer French 1 through Advanced Placement French Language, Japanese levels 1 through 5, and Spanish levels 1, 2, 3, 4 plus courses in Advanced Placement Language and Advanced Placement Literature*.

*Students can earn college credit by taking and earning the score required on the AP exam administered in May. Please check your prospective college/university to see score requirements.
