It is a place which really offers something for everyone: a quiet place to do research and study; a full computer lab with internet access; 14,000+ fiction and non-fiction books; magazines and newspapers, and videos. And the Information Center serves as a center for community and faculty events There has been a lot of activity in the Information Center so far this year with several teachers and their classes coming in for orientations and research. The Model United Nations class examined the online databases to which DoDDS information centers subscribe to help them find current information about the countries and issues they are researching. An English class, which is doing a major project on Shakespeare and his world, examined some useful websites and texts on the subject; and a World History classes began their year-long research project on ancient civilizations. |
