Welcome to the Kinnick High School Science Department Page!

All students graduating in 2008 and beyond need to complete Biology and any Chemistry or Physics course in addition to one additional science course. At least three Science credits are required to graduate.

Entry Level: Grade Level 9,10,11, and 12
  Physics Applications (Periods 1, 5, 7)
  Chemistry Applications (Periods 4, 5)
  Earth and Space Science (Periods 5, 6 )
  Environmental Science (Periods 2, 5)
  Biology (Honors 9th grade entry) (Periods 1, 3, 5, 7 )
Upper Level: Grade Level 10, 11 and 12
  Physics (Periods 3, 4, 5)
  Chemistry (Periods 2, 3, 4, 6)
  Human Anatomy and Physiology (Period 4)
Advanced Placement (AP): Grade Level 10, 11 and 12
  AP Chemistry (Period 5)
  AP Physics B (Period 1)

All of our courses are full year courses and are worth 1.0 credit upon successful completion of both semesters. The AP courses will additionally carry a weighted GPA upon taking the AP Exam in May.
